LOCK SAMPLE PROJECT

INTRODUCTION

This guide explains how to set up a Lock component within the Ilevia’s configuration software EVE Manager from scratch. Please refer to the Lock component page for further information.

Preparing and loading the project in EVE Manager:

  • unzip the file;
  • open EVE Manager, go to the top left, File – Open – press “Ok” on the message that appears and select the file just decompressed;
  • Start the virtual machine or the Raspberry;
  • Download and Install the Logic by following this guide.

COMPONENTS CONFIGURATION

Step 1:

Open EVE Manager and enter the component’s tab. Add the following components into the project:

Step 2:

In this example the lock each time it locks and unlock will change the state of a switch from two scenarios linked respectively to the Off/0 and On/1 of the Lock component parameters. So add the switch into the scenario making sure to set the right value to the switch that will be set once the scenario is triggered.

Step 3:

1. Set the text entry component in order to crypt the password inserted from user. To do this just tick the password Mode (MD5), 2. then link the info component into the Input component parameter.

Step 4:

Once the needed component are added, link each component to its correct parameter within the Lock component as shown in the picture below.

Step 5:

First thing to do is to create a new password. Click on the text entry and enter a new password, then hit done or click enter to confirm the operation. In this case the password set is 1234.

Step 6:

Enter the Interface editor of EVE Manager, then add the component into the Interface (in this example has been used the Classic user interface style).

INTERFACE VISUAL RESULT

This below is the visual result of the Lock component within the Ilevia’s User interface (Classic style) on the left image. Then on the right you can see the Lock component in a Map user interface style environment.

Click the lock icon and enter the password. If the password is correct it will unlock and trigger the scenario. Same thing happens if you try to lock back again.
