CREATE GROUPS OF COMPONENTS

It is possible to organize components of the project into different groups and so categorize them depending on your necessities.

This comes helpful during the user interface creation.

To create a new group there are two options:

Step 1:

click the “+” icon on top right of the screen.

Step 2:

click the right button of your controller into “My components” area and select “Add group” command.

Step 3:

After creation, enter a new name on the “Component’s properties” area.

Be sure the drop-down menu of the new group is open, then drag and drop here all the components of your new group.

Step 4:

It is also possible to create a new group into an existing one.

In order to do this there are two options:

add a new group, then drag and drop it into the existing group;
open the drop-down of the existing group, then click the right button of your controller and select “Add group” command.

Export Group

It is also possible to export a group and then import it to another EVE project. To do this:

select the group, then click the right button of your controller and select “Export group” command.
After selection, the “Save Group” window appears to let you save the .emg group file on your PC.

In order to import a group from a different EVE project:

click the right button of your controller into “My components” area and select “Import group” command;
“Import Group” window appears to let you select the .emg group file from your PC.

It is possible to copy, paste and remove any existing group. To do this:

select the group, then click the right button of your controller and select “Copy” / “Paste” / “Remove” command;
select the group, then select “Remove” button on “Component’s properties” area.
